A. Kerim Sener, BSc (Hons) MSc DIC PhD FGS
Principal Geologist

Kerim graduated from the University of Southampton with a first-class BSc (Hons) degree in Geology in 1997 and from the Royal School of Mines, Imperial College, with an MSc in Mineral Exploration in 1998. After working for Independence Gold Mining Pvt. Ltd. (Lonmin Zimbabwe) he completed a PhD at the University of Western Australia. During his PhD, in 2000-2003, he worked with ASX-listed Northern Gold NL in the Northern Territory and on a variety of exploration consultancy projects in Western Australia. Kerim was a founder of AIM listed Ariana Resources (AAU) and is its managing director.  During the past 7 years he has progressed the company from its inception, to a junior exploration company and more recently as a gold development company operating in Turkey.

He is a Fellow of The Geological Society of London, Member of The Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining and a member of the Society of Economic Geologists. He is a non-executive technical director of Genesis Resources Limited in Australia.  Kerim speaks English, Turkish, and basic Russian and German.


 

Francis E. B. Wedin, BSc (Hons) FGS

Principal Geologist

Francis Wedin graduated from Cardiff University with a BSc (Hons) degree in Exploration and Resource Geology in 2007.  He is currently pursuing a research PhD at the same university on epithermal gold mineralisation in western Turkey.  He is an experienced exploration geologist, having worked for Ariana Resources and European Goldfields in Turkey, and Oxus Gold in Uzbekistan.  He is skilled in conducting innovative exploration programmes in challenging environments. His focus is grassroots exploration for gold, but has worked on a variety of projects in different stages of development.

Francis is a Fellow of the Geological Society of London and a member of the Society of Economic Geologists. He has project management experience and qualifications.  Francis speaks English and Turkish, and basic French and Swedish.


 

Zack van Coller, BSc (Hons)

Exploration Geologist

Zack van Coller graduated from Cardiff University in 2010 with a 2:1 in Exploration and Resource Geology. Zack has an extensive background of mineralogical research, including work with the National Museum of Wales to analyse trace elements in sphalerite from Mississippi-type zinc deposits. He has worked for Ariana Resources in Turkey as a student, and later as a contract geologist from Matrix. During this time he has been involved in grassroots exploration projects, targeting low-sulphidation type deposits. Zack is bilingual in English and Afrikaans.
